Which Facebook links work
Paste the link of a public video or Reel. Links copied with Share › Copy link in the Facebook app, such as facebook.com/share/v/… or facebook.com/share/r/…, can be pasted as they are: VidsToGo opens the share link to find the video it points to. Full addresses work too: facebook.com/watch/?v=…, facebook.com/reel/… or facebook.com/PageName/videos/…, including addresses from m.facebook.com and web.facebook.com.
Short fb.watch links are not supported: Facebook asks our server to log in before it opens them, and VidsToGo never uses a Facebook account. Open the fb.watch link where you are signed in to Facebook, then copy the video's full address from the address bar, or copy the link again with Share › Copy link.
Convert a Facebook video to MP4
VidsToGo saves the MP4 file that Facebook itself serves for the video, without re-encoding it, so no quality is lost in the conversion. When Facebook offers two versions, often labeled HD and SD, you choose which one to save; the list shows only the versions available for that video. When a version uses the VP9 video format, the list also names the format of each version, such as VP9 or H.264.
To convert a Facebook video to MP4, copy its link, paste it above with Video (MP4) selected and choose Download. Preview the video, pick HD or SD and save the file. Need only the sound? Choose Audio to get an MP3 instead.
How to download a Facebook video on your phone
In the Facebook app, tap Share on the video and choose Copy link. Open VidsToGo in your browser, paste the link and tap Download. On iPhone, Safari saves the MP4 in the Downloads folder of the Files app; open it, tap Share and choose Save Video to add it to Photos. Some Facebook HD files use the VP9 video format, which iPhone apps may not open; on iPhone, VidsToGo lists the H.264 version first when there is one. On Android, the file goes to Downloads and usually appears in your gallery.
On a computer
Open the video on facebook.com and copy the address from the browser bar; it usually contains /watch/?v=, /reel/ or /videos/ followed by a number. You can also use Share › Copy link. Paste the link above and choose Download.
Save Facebook Reels, audio or a short clip
Public Reels work like any other video: paste the Reel address and choose Video. Choose Audio to extract the sound as MP3, or Clip to keep a part between 0.5 seconds and 2 minutes, from videos up to 10 minutes long. Select Multiple links to prepare up to 20 videos, then download each result separately.
Why a Facebook video is unavailable
Videos shared only with friends, posted in private groups or shown only after logging in cannot be accessed. Stories and live streams are not supported, and Facebook does not provide a downloadable MP4 for every video. If a share link opens a post rather than the video itself, open the video and copy its own link. Prepared links expire after 15 minutes; paste the link again if needed.
