Data we process

Links and files

When you submit a link, our server contacts the platform to find the available media and prepares the file you choose. Links and media are processed in memory or in temporary storage and deleted when the download finishes, fails or expires. We do not build a list of the videos you download.

Technical data

Like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser information with each request. We use them briefly to deliver the page, prevent abuse with rate limits and separate our own tests from real usage. They are not stored in our usage statistics. Our hosting infrastructure may keep short technical logs for security and troubleshooting.

Usage statistics

We count events such as page views, prepared videos, completed downloads and error types per day, platform and tool. These counters contain no IP address, link, file or identifier and are deleted after 90 days.

Storage in your browser

The site uses your browser's local storage only for your language preference and, if you record an X broadcast, to recover the recording controls after a refresh. When you paste a link on the home page, it is kept in session storage for a moment to open the right tool. You can delete this data by clearing the site data in your browser.

Thumbnails and third parties

Some video thumbnails are loaded directly from the platforms' image servers, for example X, TikTok or YouTube, which then receive your IP address like any website you visit. We do not use advertising networks, analytics providers or social media widgets.

Legal basis and your rights

We process this data to provide the service you request and in our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and improving it. Because we do not keep personal profiles or download histories, there is usually nothing linked to you that we can retrieve. You can still ask about your data, request access or deletion, or object to processing by writing to contact@vidstogo.com. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

If we change how the site processes data, we will update this page and its date.
