Trim a Twitter Video

Save part of a video posted on Twitter / X. Paste a public post link to choose your clip.

How to download part of a Twitter / X video

  1. Copy the link

    Open the post on Twitter or X, tap Share, and copy the post link.

  2. Paste it here

    Paste the public post link above, select Clip, and click Create clip.

  3. Save your file

    Choose a video, adjust the start and end handles, preview the selection, and download your MP4 clip.

Move the two timeline handles to select a section, or open Fine-tune times to enter exact start and end times. Preview your selection before downloading. Each clip can be between 0.5 seconds and 2 minutes long, from a source video up to 10 minutes.

Clips are converted to MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when the source has sound. A silent video can still be trimmed. Conversion may take a moment; temporary source and output files are removed after use.

Example: keep a 20-second section

For a video longer than 30 seconds, open Fine-tune times and set the start to 10 seconds and the end to 30 seconds. Preview that selection, then choose Download clip. This saves only the selected section as an MP4.

Trim videos from more than one post

Select Multiple links while in Clip mode. Prepare up to five post links, then set a separate range for each video you want to save. The batch download guide explains how to keep ready results and retry another post.

Which Twitter links can I download?

Use a link to a public Twitter or X post containing a video. Private, deleted, or restricted posts may not be available.

Can I prepare several links at once?

Can I download a video in HD?

Choose from the qualities shown with each video. The available resolutions depend on the original video published on X.

Can I save just the audio?

Select Audio above, paste a post link, then click Download MP3 to convert the video's audio. The source must contain an audio track and be no longer than 10 minutes. Conversion may take a moment.

How do I trim a video?

Select Clip above before pasting a link, or click Create clip below a video. Drag the two handles to choose the start and end. Preview your selection and click Download clip. For exact times, open Fine-tune times. Clips can be 0.5 seconds to 2 minutes long, from videos up to 10 minutes.

Does this work on a phone?

Yes. Use VidsToGo in your phone's browser. Your browser decides where to save the file, usually in your Downloads folder.

Why can't I download a video?

Check that the post is public and contains a video. If X restricts access or the service is busy, wait a moment and try again. Download links expire, so you may need to get the video again.
